On May 14, supporters from across the Merrimack Valley gathered at Bradford Country Club for Emmaus’s 5th Annual Sip, Sample & Support Gala. With the event at full capacity, the evening was a vibrant celebration of community, generosity, and our commitment to ending homelessness.
This year’s gala embraced a Latin-inspired theme, inviting guests to enjoy globally inspired cuisine from the Caribbean, South America, Mexico, and Spain through interactive tasting stations, accompanied by live music and an energetic atmosphere. Throughout the evening, guests explored an exciting lineup of activities, including the signature wine pull, raffle baskets, live and online auctions, cocktail tasting contest, photo booth, and our new 1–100 Board fundraiser, which quickly became a guest favorite.
The live and online auctions featured an incredible collection of unique experiences, travel packages, dining opportunities, sporting events and local favorites, all generously donated by community partners. Guests also voted in the annual Cocktail Contest, where restaurants showcased their signature creations in a competition.
One of the most meaningful moments of the night was our Fund-a-Need presentation. Joanna Staples’s powerful personal story reminded everyone that behind every donation is an individual or family working toward a brighter future. The evening also marked the introduction of Emmaus’s first-ever Community Partner Award, presented to Haverhill City Council President Tim Jordan in recognition of his longstanding leadership, generosity, and unwavering support of our mission.
Events like Sip, Sample & Support are only possible because of our incredible sponsors, auction donors, volunteers, event committee, Board of Directors, and everyone who attends. Your generosity directly supports Emmaus’s housing and support programs, helping provide shelter, stability, and hope for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
