D’Youville Center for Social Justice

The D’Youville Center offers integrated services to support Emmaus guests in all aspects of life. The Center assists guests in enhancing their self-esteem, defining their aspirations, embracing their inner strengths, and accessing tools that will foster self-sufficiency.

The D’Youville Center opened in 2016 to further our clients’ social and emotional growth and supplement existing support services within our shelter and stabilization programs. The center is home to the following services:

  • Parent resource workshops
  • Financial wellness education
  • Career and housing services
  • Health and wellness classes
  • Skill-building workshops
  • Learning opportunities to enrich children’s development
  • Partnerships with outside organizations
  • Monthly community meetings to foster outside agency collaboration
  • Donation drop-off center
  • Food distribution center

Additionally, the Center connects families and individuals to a network of outside agencies strengthening their support system and ensuring their continued success.

The programs at the D’Youville Center are available to all Emmaus clients, including shelter guests, residents of permanent housing, and families in stabilization. The Center serves more than 250 women, men, and children each year.
