After the event riders raising $500.00 in addition to their registration fee will receive an award.

Sponsorship money must be received or posted on-line by 8/31/10 to receive awards.

Event cycle jerseys will be available for purchase at $65.00

Have fun riding with your friends; enjoy the scenery and help yourself to the food & drinks at the rest stops! After the ride, feel free to use the shower facilities (bring your own towel), enjoy a free massage, change into comfortable clothes. Then relax and enjoy a hearty meal.

Dear Pre-registered Cycle for Shelter Rider,

We have a great day planned for you this Sunday, July 25.

Including a list of frequently asked questions, directions to the start at Northern Essex Community College, route maps, on-line fundraising tools for those who need quickly to reach the minimum amount ($150 in addition to your registration fee) and a support sign for friends and family who live along the route to download and display.

Please note, dogs and alcohol are not permitted at the College.

At check-in please join the Pre-Registered Riders line for your event.

100 mile riders may check-in from 6:00am with opening ceremonies and start at 7:00am

62 from 7:00am with opening ceremonies and start at 8:00am

50 from 8:00am with opening ceremonies and start at 9:00am

20 from 9:30am with opening ceremonies and start at 10:00am

IF YOU CHECK-IN MORE THAN 30 MINS. AFTER YOUR START TIME YOU WILL BE SWITCHED TO THE NEXT ROUTE.

Your check-in packet will contain an information sheet, an identification bib and wrist band and a map/cue sheet for the distance you registered for. If you registered on-line you will need to sign a liability waiver. All riders need to provide an emergency contact number of someone NOT on the ride or confirm the one already provided.

All donations, sponsorship and matching gift documentation can be handed in at check-in.

For safety, helmets are required and please- no head phones. Ride responsibly and obey all traffic laws. Stay alert and aware at all times. Stay well fed and hydrated (our rest-stops are very well supplied). Carry a cell phone for emergencies and wear your ID wrist band. Under 18’s must ride with an adult.

Awards for raising at least $500 above your registration fee will be mailed after the event. The final tally of funds raised is done at the end of August.

All riders will receive a finish line award. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO CHECK BACK IN AT THE END OF THE RIDE SO WE KNOW YOU ARE SAFE. See you on Sunday. You are a hero by Cycling for Shelter.

If friends or family wish to join you, registration is available on the day. Riders should report to the Day of Registration Table- the fee is $75.

You can create your own personal fundraising page which will allow your sponsors to donate by credit card.

Volunteers are needed to help at Northern Essex Community College and at the rest-stops. Call Terri Rousseau; 978.241.3425

We'd also love to have Emmaus supporters cheering on our riders on the route. The four rides pass through a number of local communities. Please go to the routes posted on the right bottom part of our webpage to see if you know someone who can do this. Download the Emmaus sign of encouragement and decorate with your own style , this will give the riders such a boost as they "Cycle for Shelter".
