Cycle for Shelter 2008 - Recap of last year's Cycle for Shelter

 

Join the Emmaus Team in Training

 

Check out the calendar of rides and get ready for Sunday, July 26th.  For more information, contact Jeff Russell, Training Coordinator.

On Sunday, July 26, 2009, Cyclists can choose from four exciting routes of 20, 50, 62 (100K) or 100 miles, winding along the Merrimack River through historic Rocks Village and along the scenic New Hampshire seacoast. In 2003 Cycle For shelter was listed in the country's premiere cycling magazine "Bicycling" as one of its readers favorite rides. A minimum fundraising level of $150.00 is set in addition to the registration fee.

$21 Early Bird on-line until "St. Patrick's Day" (3/17/09)

$45 Registration Fee until "Tax Day" (4/15/09)

$60 Registration Fee through July 20, 2009.

$75 Registration Fee on day of event                            (if space is available)         

Be a Top Pledge Collector and receive Great Prizes.

Talk to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers about sponsoring you.

Collect the money as you go (Checks can be made payable to Emmaus Inc). Bring your sponsorship money with you on the day of the event your $150.00 minimum is due on 7/26/09.

You can create your own personal fundraising page which will allow your sponsors to donate by credit card.

After the event riders raising $500.00 in addition to their registration fee will receive an event gym bag.

Sponsorship money must be received or posted on-line by 8/31/09 to receive awards.

Event cycle jerseys are available for purchase at $65.00

Have fun riding with your friends; enjoy the scenery and help yourself to the food & drinks at the rest stops! After the ride, feel free to use the shower facilities (bring your own towel), enjoy a free massage, change into comfortable clothes. Then relax and enjoy a hearty meal.

are available and include great shots of the three starts, the finish line celebrations and action shots of riders on all three routes heading into Amesbury.

To ensure that your size is available for the event. Please order now. Cost is $65 and may be ordered on BIKE REG, however, please note that you will incur a small additional charge.

*Emmaus will cover postage & packing.

Volunteers are needed to help at Northern Essex Community College and at the rest-stops. Call Terri Rousseau; 978.241.3425

We'd also love to have Emmaus supporters cheering on our riders on the route. The four rides pass through a number of local communities. Please go to the routes posted on the right bottom part of our webpage to see if you know someone who can do this. Download the Emmaus sign of encouragement and decorate with your own style , this will give the riders such a boost as they "Cycle for Shelter".
